My first try at slicing

And so I learn another technique that isn't hard to master but you still need experience in Photoshop to handle it well. It's not great, I messed up in the masking mostly(hint: the fingers are trimmed too much) but I still like the outcome. I'm hoping to get better the more I practice and hopefully pull this off with convincing background.

The baby in the photo is my baby brother.
